Mini Session Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

I understand that life happens and plans sometimes change. Because mini sessions are offered on limited dates with a small number of appointment times, each reservation is held specifically for your family.

Booking Retainer

A $100 non-refundable retainer is required to reserve your mini-session date and time. The retainer is applied toward your total session investment of $325.

Your appointment is not considered confirmed until the retainer has been received.

The remaining balance is due 7 days prior to your scheduled session. Sessions booked within 7 days require payment in full at the time of booking.

Cancellations

If you choose to cancel your mini session, the $100 booking retainer is non-refundable.

Cancellations made within 72 hours of the scheduled session, as well as no-shows, will result in forfeiture of all payments made.

Rescheduling

I understand that unexpected situations can arise. One reschedule may be requested with at least 72 hours' notice.

Your booking retainer may be transferred one time to another available Halo Halo Studio mini-session appointment within the same mini-session season.

Rescheduling is subject to availability and a specific date, location, or golden-hour appointment cannot be guaranteed.

Requests made less than 72 hours before the scheduled session may result in forfeiture of the booking retainer and require a new retainer to reserve another appointment.

Weather

Outdoor sessions are dependent on safe and workable weather conditions. Halo Halo Studio will make the final determination regarding weather-related rescheduling.

Cloudy or overcast conditions alone are not considered grounds for cancellation.

If rain, lightning, severe weather, unsafe conditions, or other circumstances make the session impractical, I will contact you regarding a reschedule or designated backup option. Your payments will transfer to the rescheduled session at no additional charge.

Please do not cancel your session based solely on the forecast unless you have heard from me. Houston weather can change quickly, and weather decisions may be made closer to the scheduled session.

Late Arrivals

Mini sessions are scheduled within a limited photography window and may be booked back-to-back.

Please plan to arrive 10–15 minutes before your scheduled appointment and be completely ready to photograph.

If you arrive late, your session will still end at the originally scheduled time. Your photography time will be reduced accordingly so that the following family's appointment is not affected.

Because mini sessions are only 15 minutes long, a significantly late arrival may result in the inability to complete the session and will be treated as a missed appointment.

No-Shows

Clients who do not arrive for their scheduled session and do not provide advance notice will forfeit all payments made.

A new booking and retainer will be required to schedule another session.

Photographer Cancellation

In the unlikely event that I must cancel your session due to illness, emergency, unsafe weather, or circumstances outside of my control, you will be offered a rescheduled appointment at no additional charge.

If I am unable to provide a reasonable reschedule option, payments, including the booking retainer, made for the affected session will be refunded .

By reserving and paying for a mini session, you acknowledge and agree to the cancellation, rescheduling, weather, and late-arrival policies above.
